In this Part-time role (30 hrs / 4 dys pw) you will ensure the gardens are maintained to a high standard. This will include maintaining lawns (e.g. mowing, edging), plus seasonal tasks (e.g. scarifying, re-seeding, turfing); pruning & training shrubs; care and development of ornamental areas including roses, herbaceous and bedding plants, containers, trees and shrubs, vegetables and nursery areas etc.
We’d love to hear from you if you have knowledge of garden maintenance and plant care (e.g. ability to identify and name plants previously worked with) ideally gained through 2+ years’ experience working in professional gardens and/or Horticulture Qualification L1 (or higher), or equivalent.

On 1 April 2019, the BSB Handbook was amended and the new Bar qualification rules came into force. In addition, on 27 March 2019, the BSB signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Inns of Court, setting out the roles and responsibilities of the BSB and the Inns under the new rules.
Under these rules, Authorised Education & Training Organisations (AETOs) are now responsible for appointing suitable pupil supervisors for their pupillages.
As a result of the Governance Review, a new committee structure came into effect on 1 January 2019. The Inn’s sovereign body continues to be Parliament – the governing body of Benchers of the Inn - but Parliament is supported by Standing Committees, all of which are clearly focused on the Inn’s core purposes, and constituted such that we are able to set our priorities and future direction to achieve them.
The main Standing Committee is the Executive Committee.

Middle Temple supports and participates in the Pegasus Scheme, which is administered by Inner Temple. Scholarships are available to tenants or employed barristers of each of the Inns up to five years' practice as a barrister (not including pupillage). Scholarships usually start in July and last for three months, but arrangements are necessarily dependent on what is suitable to the host firm.
Middle Temple Open Day for Schools and Universities
The Middle Temple organises an Open Day every year, usually in March, aimed at students at Sixth Form and undergraduate, postgraduate or GDL level with an interest in a career at the Bar. Experienced practitioners as well as students will be on hand to provide information on all aspects of training for and a career at the Bar.
