Student Tours (Individual or Small Groups)

This page relates to tours for prospective student members of the Inn, or those currently studying law at undergraduate level.

For information on booking a tour as a member of the public please click here.

If you are trying to decide which Inn to join and would like to have a tour to learn about the services we provide to our student members the Inn’s outreach officer gives tours at 14:30 every first and third Wednesday of the month. (Exceptions for April, August and December).

The meeting point for individual and small group tours is the entrance to the Library at the Ashley Building on Middle Temple Lane. Front of house staff will greet you and notify your guide of your arrival.

The tour will consist of a walk around the Inn's main facilities, including the Library, Rutledge Suite, Bench Apartments, Main Hall, Garden Room Member's Lounge and Garden. Your guide will lead a discussion on some of the Inn's History, its culture and role in the training of Barristers in the modern era, the Inn's services, and finally a discussion on Inns of Court Scholarships and suggestions on what students can be working on during their studies and vacations prior to commencing the Bar Course to maximise their chances of success!

Booking is not required but is recommended so that the Inn can notify you if the tour is cancelled.
