The Service Prosecuting Authority is looking to recruit 4 x paralegals for the academic year Sep-Jul 2024-2025. 

Please refer to the Terms of Reference.  We think this opportunity is particularly suitable for candidates who have successfully completed a bar course, but are yet to undertake pupillage.  Accordingly, I would be very grateful if you were able to make this opportunity known to your bar student community, in particular those with an interest in practising in crime.

Some further details in addition to the Terms of Reference:

1. We pay approx. £120 a day, and would expect approx. 200 days’ to be worked between Sep 24 and Jul 25.  This may be negotiable, however, with selected candidates.
2. Our office is in RAF Northolt, and we like people to work from the office at least Tue-Thu, though home-working is fine on Mon & Fri.  There will be an ad-hoc requirement to travel to our court centres in Bulford (Wiltshire) and Catterick (North Yorkshire), though we pay travel expenses for this. 
3. Successful candidates will need to undertake a “Security Check” level security clearance – details can be found here: National security vetting: clearance levels - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).
