Masters of the Bench

Alderman Peter Estlin is a senior banker with over thirty five years experience in banking and finance, having worked in Bristol, London, Singapore, Hong Kong and New York.  He is currently a senior advisor to Barclays, an independent member of HMT Audit & Risk Committee and latterly a Commissioner of the London Fairness Commission and Chairman of the British Airways International Advisory Board. He is actively involved in the Livery, being Master of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers in 2017/18.  He is involved with several education and financial inclusion charities, including Onside Youth Zones, Teach First and Trust for London.  He was Sheriff of the City of London in 2016/17 and will be, subject to election, the 691st Lord Mayor of the City of London in 2018.  He is married to Lindy and they have three children, James, Victoria and Annabel.  Peter loves to cook, and has a passion for chocolate and wine.
