Masters of the Bench

Simon was appointed in 2018 as a Circuit Judge at the County Court at Central London and the Mayor’s and City of London Court and is a committee member of the Council of Circuit Judges.  Prior to his appointment, Simon specialised in professional liability and regulation, taking Silk in 2003.  He was appointed as a Recorder in 2010, and a Deputy High Court Judge in 2013. Simon was a member of the Bar Standards Board and Chair of the BSB’s Qualifications Committee from 2006 until 2011.  He chairs the Inn’s Scholarships & Prizes Committee and is an Advocacy and Ethics trainer.
