He studied Law at Corpus Christi College, Oxford graduating in 1991 and became an Astbury Scholar. He was called in October 1992 when he commenced pupillage at 6 King’s Bench Walk (now 6KBW College Hill), from where he has practised, principally in the area of criminal law and associated fields, ever since. He was appointed Junior Treasury Counsel to the Crown at the Central Criminal Court in 2006, Senior Treasury Counsel in 2014 and First Senior Treasury Counsel in 2018. He took silk in 2014. He has two daughters (Isabella and Grace); watching their endeavours on the lacrosse pitch has become his favourite pastime. His partner, Miranda Hill, is also a Middle Templar. |
