All Inn Dining | Preparing for Practice

Eligibility

As places are limited and in demand, student members, and members under 7 years’ Call who are looking for pupillage, must submit an application. Applications should only be made by those who:

  • Are available to attend on the relevant date
  • Have a genuine interest in the relevant area of law
  • Will complete preparation in advance (details are provided at least a week in advance)
  • Will actively participate in discussion with those in attendance
     

Each of the Preparing for Practice dinners fall under the following QS themes:

  • Legal Knowledge, Justice and the Rule of Law
  • Preparation for Pupillage, Career Development & Wellbeing
  • Interactive and require preparation in advance

Each year, we have three preparing for practice dinners, usually Crime, Commercial & Chancery and Family Law, but these may vary year to year.

Applications

Places for an All Inn Dining event will usually only be allocated where an application is received at least 3 weeks before the date of the event. Where we have available places we may contact those who have applied less than 3 weeks before the event. 

If you are offered a place you will be contacted and asked to provide payment. Please ensure you make payment by the specified deadline.

Ticket prices are £25 for Student members and £40 for Hall members under 7 years' call.

You can only submit one application within an academic year. If you have an interest in more than one of the areas of law, you must select all events that you are interested in attending, and provide an explanation for each area of law, before you submit this application form.
