Event Details

The Northern Circuit Education Day is only open to current Bar Course students studying in Manchester and Liverpool. This year's Education Day will be held in Manchester - further details TBC.

This page is to book for the morning session (including lunch) (10:00 AM - 1:30 PM). You are also encouraged to book the afternoon session by clicking here.
You may only attend a Circuit Education day in the region you are studying. If you have previously attended a Circuit Education Day, you cannot attend another.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

The morning session consists of an Advocacy Workshop focused on developing advocacy skills in small teaching groups. A high level of preparation and participation is expected from each student.

The tuition is provided principally by busy practitioners, judges, and academics, all volunteers giving up their evening, and also by senior members of the Inn who are no longer practicing but who have had years of experience at the Bar.

Details of the preparation required in advance of this session will be made available to ticket holders in due course, and at least one week before the session. You will be able to download it using the link at the top of this page. Please ensure that you prepare in good time.

Students need to attend the whole event including the lunch in order to claim a Qualifying Session.
