Event Details

Due to planned train stikes the w/c 20 June, the Education Department has decided to move this workshop online via Zoom.  
Please note that bookings are open at full capacity and social distancing will no longer be in place.

This session reviews resources, both print and also electronic, available for legislation research. It will discuss how to use databases and print resources for conducting Pepper v Hart research. Methods for locating domestic, as well as international legislation will be discussed.

The Library runs this training session on multiple occasions each year.  You are only permitted to attend this training once.  If you book this event having already attended a previous session your booking will be cancelled by the Education Department. If you book onto more than one of these sessions, all but one of your bookings will be cancelled by the Education Department.

This event is for members only. Whilst primarily aimed at Student members, there are a number of places available for Called members.

Learning Outcomes:

After this session, students should be able to:

  • Practice conducting legislation research using print and online resources.
  • Identify methods for undertaking Pepper v Hart research.
  • Demonstrate the ability to locate commentary materials related to legislation.

Unless the event sells out earlier, booking will close at 16:00 the day before the event

Cancellations:

Where we have a waiting list we will offer your ticket to someone else, so please do cancel your ticket if you are no longer able to attend by emailing education@middletemple.org.uk
