Event Details

Middle Temple Young Barristers' Association and Middle Temple Students' Association are proud to present this year's Black History Month Celebration.

With the aim to encourage organic, flowing and insightful conversation, (much like the Euro Football Pundits - unedited and unscripted) we have set up an amazing panel of black legal professionals and invite guests to submit questions and topics of discussion ahead of time and/or during the event. On the night, the topics will be selected and the panel will then be invited to share their own experiences, should they choose.

We anticipate this to be an insightful evening full of open, honest and inclusive conversation being encouraged.

Panelists are:

Trevor Sterling - Senior Partner/Head of Major Trauma at Moore Barlow LLP and Chair of the Mary Seacole Trust.

Emma Hughes - Pupil Barrister at Four Brick Court Chambers and Bridging the Bar Policy Officer.

Andréa Awoniyi - Barrister at One Pump Court Chambers and member of the Race Equity Alumni Advisory Board for University of Exeter.

Student members (including transferring lawyers) must attend all elements of the event in order to be awarded the Qualifying Session. This includes any lecture/talk/reception/dinner/speeches.

Who can Attend

Students/Hall Members/Benchers: Guests welcome, maximum 2 per member.

Members of other Inns, their guests and those invited by MTSA/MTYBA are also welcome.

All tickets are £10.
