Dress Code for Guests
The dress code for guests is ‘lounge suits’. This means that guests should dress reasonably formally (for example a suit with a shirt, or a dress or trousers/skirt with smart top). Guests are not obligated to wear dark colours or a white shirt; colours are fine. National dress is also welcome.
Recently Called members
Court Dress is not compulsory, the alternative is Business Attire.

This reception is one of the optional ticketed events that make up the day's Call Celebration, for members of the Inn who had to be Called to the Bar online during the past couple of years as a result of the pandemic. [Now open to all members who were Called in the last 3 years, 2020-2022]
A standing reception held in the Bench apartments (adjacent to Middle Temple Hall).
Bowl food, wine and juice will be served.
Tickets are available for £18.50 for our recently Called members and £27.50 for guests and Masters of the Bench.
Members who were Called online and their guests. There are no restrictions on guest numbers per member. [Now open to all members who were Called in the last 3 years, 2020-2022]
Masters of the Bench, members of Hall Committee and MTYBA are also welcome.
Wine, soft drinks and a selection of bowl food will be served during the reception. If you or your guests have any dietary requirements please check with the waiters during the reception regarding any food.
This event is not a Qualifying Session
Members of the Inn can buy tickets online by clicking ‘Add to Cart’. Please note that you must log in to book (if you have not yet created a log-in please register first). Alternatively you can buy tickets from the Treasury Office by calling 020 7427 4800.
Unless the event sells out earlier, bookings will close at 12 noon on Friday 21 April.
Cancellations:
Where we have a waiting list we will offer your ticket to someone else, so please do cancel your ticket if you are no longer able to attend by emailing education@middletemple.org.uk
