Event Details

The Attorney General is one of the most senior law officers of England and Wales. Although it is a political appointment, the Attorney General is bound by the duties of independence, justice and confidentiality. 

Master Dominic Grieve served as an MP from 1997 to 2019. He is a barrister and was the Attorney General from 12 May 2010 – 15 July 2014. He will be able to give a special insight into the complexities of the role and how it should function within the UK Government.
 


Students and transferring lawyers need to attend the whole event including the reception in order to claim a Qualifying Session.

This event is open to all members of the Inn. No guests.

  • Describe the duties the Attorney General is bound by
  • Examine how the role of the  Attorney General should function within the UK Government.

Unless the event sells out earlier, bookings will close at 09:00 two working days before the event.

Cancellations:

Where we have a waiting list we will offer your ticket to someone else, so please do cancel your ticket if you are no longer able to attend by emailing education@middletemple.org.uk
