All members of the Inn are welcome to attend this event.Master Hockman (Stephen Hockman QC), former Treasurer, in conversation with Lord Andrew Tyrie, former Chair of the House of Commons Treasury Select Committee and subsequently of the Competition and Markets Authority.
In this session Master Hockman will discuss with Lord Tyrie his work in chairing the Select Committee and in chairing the Parliamentary investigation into banking standards in which Queen's Counsel was deployed to question witnesses. They will also discuss the role, actual and potential, of the Competition and Markets Authority post Brexit, and the future for legal regulation of our economic and financial system.
