Celebrations and reflections on the LGBTQ+ Bar in 2021.

This LGBTQ+ Forum event is open to Middle Temple Members and their guests as well as members of other Inns of Court, though guests are restricted to members only. Attendance is free but booking is required.

Outline:

The Middle Temple LGBTQ+ Forum is hosting a panel discussion to celebrate and reflect on the LGBTQ+ Bar today. Now in its third year and with an all new panel, Taking Pride 2021 will explore the different LGBTQ+ experiences of our speakers within the profession and the Inn.

Accessing the remote Event:

This remote event will take place online.  A link will be sent by email between 12-24 hours before the scheduled start time.

It is preferable to join the event on a laptop, but if that’s not possible then use your phone/tablet.

After this session, students should be able to:

  • Recognise the challenges that have – and still – face LGBTQ+ members of the Bar.
  • Identify where progress has been made, current initiatives, and the work left to be completed as contributing members of the profession to ensure that we are as diverse and inclusive as we can be.
