Event Details

Join us for our next Library Author’s Reading, this time via Zoom. Our guest will be barrister, broadcaster, and author Hashi Mohamed. He will be reading from his book People Like Us: What it takes to make it in modern Britain?

Hashi Mohamed ‘came to Britain aged nine, as an unaccompanied child refugee. He attended some of Britain’s worst schools and was raised exclusively on state benefits. Yet today he is a successful barrister, with an Oxford degree.’ His book reflects on his own experiences as well as the topic of social mobility in today’s Britain.
