Will Murray: Find a Way. What Endurance Athletes and Barristers Can Learn from Each Other

This event is open to Middle Temple Members and their guests as well as members of other Inns of Court, though guests are restricted to members only. Attendance is free but booking is required.

Outline:

Criminal and civil trials can be gruelling events, just like the London Marathon or an English Channel swim.  They all require focused preparation, attention to detail and massive stamina.  Especially important in both trials and endurance events are mental skills to be able to succeed.  This session deals with the neurology and psychology of going long, whether in court or on the course, with practice of specific techniques for finding a way to succeed.

About Will Murray

Will Murray is a licensed triathlon coach, certified by USA Triathlon, with a speciality in mental conditioning.  He is co-author of The Four Pillars of Triathlon: Vital Mental Conditioning for Endurance Athletes and of dozens of articles on the mental skills topics.  Will is also an athlete, an eight-time Ironman finisher and marathoner, as well as mountaineer.  He works not only with endurance athletes, from Olympians to beginners and youth, but also runs a consulting practice with non-profit organisations.  Will lives in Boulder, CO, USA
