At this workshop you will learn a range of essential team working tools which you can use straight away to strengthen your Bar practice and support those you work with.
Team work is a key aspect of bar practice, and like every practical skill, it can be taught and learned. Although the BSB Professional Statement requires barristers to “Understand and apply principles of team working where appropriate”, team working techniques are not taught at bar school or in pupillage. Instead, for better or for worse, most barristers model what they saw during pupillage, and learn by trial and error.
This workshop takes a different approach: it teaches tools and skills from modern leadership coaching and team psychology which have been adapted to practice at the Bar.

The workshop will be facilitated by James Pereira QC and Zita Tulyahikayo, co-founders of The Libra Partnership. James and Zita are professional leadership and team coaches with particular expertise of working with barristers and lawyers. James is also a practising barrister at FTB Chambers.
It will run from 9.30 - 13.00 pm in the Sherrard Room, 3rd Floor of the Ashley Building, Middle Temple Lane on Friday 17 June.
