Event Details

For members of the Inn who were Called to the Bar online during the past couple of years as a result of the pandemic. [Now open to all members who were Called in the last 3 years, 2020-2022]

It will give you an opportunity to celebrate your achievement, show your family/friends around the Inn (in some cases it may also be your first visit!) and raise a glass to toast your success.

There will be an 'open house' during the day to allow you to explore the Inn, hire a wig and gown, sign the Call book and take plenty of photos. You can also book tickets for either a lunchtime reception or a dinner in the evening (or both!).

Call Celebration 'open house', 11:00 - 17:00

  • Wig and gown hire
Ede and Ravenscroft will be on site for collection and return of hire items. Hire items must be returned by 17:00, so whilst wigs and gowns can be worn for the lunchtime reception they cannot be worn at dinner. Online booking has now closed. Bookings can be made on the day - you must go to the shop on Chancery Lane to book and pay, and then collect from the Inn, as above.

  • Professional photography
Marston Events will be on site. It is advisable to book your photography package in advance, but they will accept walk-ins on the day.

  • Explore the Inn
Look around Middle Temple Hall, Bench Apartments, silver display and archival treasures.

  • Sign the Call book in Hall and take your own photographs.

  • Guided tours will be available during the day, no booking required.
    Join a tour in the Hall at 11:30 / 14:00 / 15:00 / 16:00.

You do not need to book to attend the 'open house'.

There are also the following ticketed events that you can choose to book for yourself and your guests to attend. There are no restrictions on guest numbers per member.

Lunchtime reception, 12:30 - 14:00  See details and book tickets HERE

Three course dinner, 18:15 - 21:00  See details and book tickets HERE

Note: as previously advised, we are not holding ceremonies on this day. You have already been Called to the Bar and we cannot repeat that.
