Dress Code for Guests
The dress code for guests is ‘lounge suits’. This means that guests should dress reasonably formally (for example a suit with a shirt, or a dress or trousers/skirt with smart top). Guests are not obligated to wear dark colours or a white shirt; colours are fine. National dress is also welcome.
For members of the Inn who were Called to the Bar online during the past couple of years as a result of the pandemic. [Now open to all members who were Called in the last 3 years, 2020-2022]
It will give you an opportunity to celebrate your achievement, show your family/friends around the Inn (in some cases it may also be your first visit!) and raise a glass to toast your success.
There will be an 'open house' during the day to allow you to explore the Inn, hire a wig and gown, sign the Call book and take plenty of photos. You can also book tickets for either a lunchtime reception or a dinner in the evening (or both!).
Call Celebration 'open house', 11:00 - 17:00
You do not need to book to attend the 'open house'.
There are also the following ticketed events that you can choose to book for yourself and your guests to attend. There are no restrictions on guest numbers per member.
Lunchtime reception, 12:30 - 14:00 See details and book tickets HERE
Three course dinner, 18:15 - 21:00 See details and book tickets HERE
Note: as previously advised, we are not holding ceremonies on this day. You have already been Called to the Bar and we cannot repeat that.
This event is open to members who were Called online, their guests and Masters of the Bench.
