Wellbeing at the Bar

Wellbeing is about having the resilience and ability to carry out your professional duties in a healthy way.

The Bar Council, in collaboration with the Inns of Court and Institute of Barristers’ Clerks (IBC) have launched a dedicated website for the Wellbeing at the Bar initiative, to provide support, advice and best practice to barristers, clerks and chambers on wellbeing and mental health issues.

Wellbeing at the Bar aims to enable barristers to provide an "optimal professional service" by (i) staying "well" (ii) recognising the signs of becoming "unwell"  (iii) returning from "unwellness" to "wellness".
