London Lawyers’ Chorus – We’re recruiting!
Are you looking to make great music, meet new people and perform in some of London’s most exciting venues? London Lawyers’ Chorus is recruiting members across all voice parts.
We’re a really friendly, inclusive non-audition choir, sharing a passion for creating excellent music. Many of our members are studying or already work in the legal sector, but that’s certainly not a prerequisite – members are welcomed from all backgrounds.
We sing a variety of classical music, ranging from a capella to some of the largest choral works written. In the spring term, this will include:
William Byrd: Mass for Four Voices
Thomas Tallis: If ye love me
Thomas Morley: Now is the month of Maying
Emma Lou Diemer: Three Madrigals
George Shearing: Songs and Sonnets
And we’re singing the magnificent Haydn The Creation in the summer.
There are no formal auditions, but we ask that you have a basic understanding of music and some previous experience of singing in a choir.
We rehearse weekly on Thursdays (7pm - 9pm) in central London and perform several concerts a year, including major works with our sister ensemble, the London Lawyers’ Symphony Orchestra.
We’re holding an open rehearsals on Thursday 08 and 15 January 2026, or simply come along on any Thursday and find out more about us? Student membership costs just £15 per term.
