This year, the Bar Council hold their 19th Annual Law Reform Lecture, which will be given by The Rt. Hon. Lord Carnwath of Notting Hill and Inger Anderson, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme.
This year’s lecture will tackle the role of law reform in the context of climate change, bringing international and UK perspectives to different legislative initiatives. The event will also include an announcement of the 2021 Law Reform Essay Competition winners and questions from the audience. The event is being held online on Tuesday 30 November starting at 18:00.

This month we will look at the history of Middle Temple, quite literally, through the window exploring their involvement in the Inn's history through the stained glass in Hall, window taxes, repair works and unwitting participation in misdemeanours around the Inn.
Lincoln's Inn are hosting their fourth Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Forum of the year, 'The Boundaries of Intimate Image Abuse: where next for law reform?' on Wednesday 24 November 2021.
The keynote speaker, Professor Clare McGlynn QC (Hon), will be speaking about intimate image abuse and the future of law reform.

This QS will explore the rhetorical devices used in advocacy, examining classical notions of rhetoric and rhetorical devices used in modern speeches as an aid to discovering how such devices may be used effectively in civil, criminal and family advocacy.
