You may have previously expressed an interest in applying for exemption from Bar Library membership. Should it be your intention to practise as a barrister in independent practice in Northern Ireland in 2026 you will either have to seek Exemption from Bar Library membership or join the Bar Library. You will also be required to apply for your Practising Certificate simultaneously.
Please note that to obtain Exemption from Bar Library membership, you must have been Called in NI and have met all other requirements set by the Bar Council of NI.
