Lord Justice Bean has been appointed as the new Vice-President of the Court of Appeal, Civil Division. His appointment will take effect from 9 October 2025 and will be for a term of three years.
Master Bean became a Bencher in 2001 and served as Treasurer in 2019. In 2002, he served as Chair of the General Council of the Bar. He was appointed to the Court of Appeal in 2014 and served as Chair of the Law Commission from 2015 to 2018.
