A Memorial Fund to honour Professor Conor Gearty KC FBA, a Middle Temple Bencher who died on 11 September 2025, has been established by LSE Law School. Master Gearty, a founding member of Matrix Chambers, was a charismatic and devoted teacher and influential public voice. His teaching and scholarship in civil liberties, human rights and anti-terrorism law inspired generations and reflected his commitment to reasoned debate and the public good.
