Bio:

Studied music at Manchester, London and Cambridge Universities and at the Royal Academy of Music. He became a teacher and is, at present, Principal of The Harrodian School. After ten years as a member of the Court of Common Council he was elected Alderman for the Ward of Vintry in 2001 and served in the office of Sheriff 2014-15 and Lord Mayor 2016-17. He was awarded Knight Bachelor for services to Music, Education and Civic Engagement.
