Bio:

Claire Davies KC was called to the Bar in 1999 and was appointed King’s Counsel in 2022.

Claire is a leading defence criminal barrister, her practice encompasses, murder, terrorism, complex fraud, serious organised crime and sexual offences. As well as the domestic courts Claire has also appeared before the Supreme Court of Gibraltar.

Claire acts as a mentor to individuals, volunteers to assist schools in the Young citizens Mock trial Scheme and visits schools and colleges to speak to students to encourage them to  enter the profession and ultimately improve the diversity of the profession. Claire is a member of the South Eastern Circuits working group on diversity, having  previously been an EDI lead in chambers for over 10 years. Claire is currently the Circuit Lead for the ‘Judicial Reverse Mentoring’ Programme

Claire is an advocacy trainer for the Inn and also a vulnerable witness advocacy trainer.

Claire is the Leader of South Eastern Circuit for 2025 and 2026
