Bio:

Sarah Crowther KC was called to the Bar in 1999 and took silk in 2018. She practises principally in personal injury law, with particular expertise in international litigation, clinical negligence, employment, sports law, public law and discrimination. Her international personal injury practice encompasses private international law and she has appeared in many leading appellate cases concerning conflicts of laws and competing rights.

In 2021, she was appointed a Deputy High Court Judge and sits in the King’s Bench, Administrative and Family Divisions, as well as the Employment Appeal Tribunal. She is Judicial Chair of the British Horseracing Authority and also serves as a judicial panellist for the English Cricket Board. Between 2020 and 2022, she was one of the Heads of Outer Temple Chambers.

Sarah has a distinguished appellate practice, having appeared regularly before the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. Her notable cases include Ashers Bakery v Lee and Brownlie v Four Seasons Holdings Inc, in which she successfully represented Lady Christine Brownlie before the Supreme Court.

Alongside her advocacy, she acts as a mediator. She is a contributor to legal journals and co-ordinating editor of APIL’s Accidents Abroad. She is Chair of the Personal Injuries Bar Association, a member of the Bar Council, and a director of Bar Mutual Indemnity Fund.
