Bio:

Master Helen Mahy is a retired employed barrister. She was for 10 years Group Company Secretary and General Counsel at National Grid plc and prior to that held the same role at Babcock International Group PLC. She has been chair of The Renewables Infrastructure Group, MedicX and NextEnergy Solar Fund and senior independent director at Primary Health Properties plc and SSE plc. She has been on the board of various listed companies including Aga Rangemaster Group plc, SVG Capital plc, Bonheur ASA and Stagecoach Group plc. She has also been an Equality and Human Rights Commissioner, chair of the General Counsel 100 Group and a non executive director of the law firm Gowling WLG LLP. Helen has been an elected member of the Bar Council (2005-7), served on its Management Committee and was chair of the Employed Bar Association. She is a patron of the Social Mobility Business partnership and Honorary President of the Edenbridge and Oxted Agricultural Show.
