Bio:

Geneviève directs the University of Essex LLM in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.  She is a member of the International Association of Refugee Law Judges and contributes to their round tables and research.  She offers training in advocacy to judges and lawyers in “transition countries” such as Bosnia, Serbia and Kosovo as they adopt the EU Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.  She has also trained Serbian judges in ways of combating torture, and worked in an International Bar Association team with the Serbian Ministry of Justice to help devise laws to establish the war crimes court.
