Bio:

Rachel studied law at Downing College, Cambridge, where she was recommended to join Middle Temple by John Hopkins, who was then Director of Studies at Downing and a very enthusiastic Master Bencher of Middle Temple. Acting on that advice, Rachel joined Middle Temple in 1993. She was called to the Bar in 1995 and took Silk in 2014. Rachel completed pupillage at 4 Pump Court (in Middle Temple) and has been a member of 4 Pump Court ever since. She is now Joint Head of Chambers.

Rachel specialises in large scale construction and engineering, energy, insurance and related professional negligence disputes

Rachel was on the TECBAR committee for over 20 years and was Chair from 2019 to 2022, during which time she was responsible for, amongst other things, developing its CPD and EDI programmes.

Rachel has a keen interest in cricket (she is a member of the MCC and Middlesex CC) and rugby (an avid Wales and Saracens supporter).
