Bio:

Michael Blair KC is a specialist on financial services and financial services regulation.  He joined 3 Verulam Buildings in 2000 after serving as General Counsel to the Board of the Financial Services Authority from 1998-2000, and as head of the legal function in the predecessor Securities and Investments Board from 1987-1997.  Before that he had served from 1982 to 1987 as an Under Secretary in the Lord Chancellor's Department.  He is the non-executive Chairman of SWX Europe Limited (the Swiss-owned equities exchange in London) and a Board Member fo the Dubai Financial Services Authority.  He has served as Chairman of the Inn's Finance Committee, and was Treasurer in 2008.  Most recently, he has acted as Joint-Chair (with Sir Anthony May of Inner Temple) of the Organ Fund Appeal Committee, which has successfully raised £750,000 for the restoration of the Temple Church Organ.
