Bio:

Andrew Thornhill has been a member of Pump Court Tax Chambers (formerly, 4 Pump Court) since 1969.  He specializes in all areas of tax and has appeared in several leading cases.  He was educated at Clifton and Corpus Christi College Oxford where he read classics.  He has substantial interests in education, was chairman of Council at Clifton for 15 years and was co-founder of the Centre of Medieval and Renaissance Studies in Oxford.  A second interest is wooden boats.  He has been chairman of a charity, EISCA, owning 300 boats divided into ethnic, working boat and dinghy collection.  He is still in practice.
