Bio:

Piers is a family law silk with an exclusively children law practice.

Born in London to an Anglo-Welsh father and a Lebanese mother, he read history and law at Cambridge, where he was President of the Union. He was called in 1991 and started off with a mixed practice of crime, general civil and family work before specialising in family law and taking silk in 2010.

A former member of Harcourt Chambers and 29 Bedford Row, Piers now practises at 4PB where he heads up its private children law practice group. A past co-chair of the Association of Lawyers for Children, Piers served on the National Family Justice Board and has co-written four books on children law.

A member of Hall Committee in his early days at the Bar, Piers undertakes scholarship and Access to the Bar interviews for the Inn and co-runs its New Practitioners Programme Family Law Advocacy Course.

Piers is married with four (now adult) daughters. With a passion for football, Piers served as vice-chair of the Oxfordshire Girls Football League and is a long-standing Chelsea season ticket holder.
