Bio:

Charles Bourne read English at Trinity College
Cambridge and studied Literature at the Sorbonne. He then took the CPE in Law and was
called to the Bar by Middle Temple in 1991. He began his career at Henderson Chambers,
and later moved to 11KBW. Having practised in common law for a number of years, he then
specialised in public law and employment law, in particular for the Government and other
public sector clients. In 2003, he was the founding Chair of the Human Rights Lawyers
Association. He was appointed QC in 2014 and became a High Court Judge (Queen’s
Bench Division) in 2020.
