Bio:

Adrian Whitfield KC read classics and philosophy at Magdalen College, Oxford and was Called to the Bar at Middle Temple in 1964. He practised as a common lawyer, specialising in medical law, and took silk in 1983. He has sat as a Recorder and Deputy High Court Judge, and chaired the National Health Service Tribunal. He was elected to the Bench of Middle Temple in 1990 and is an Honorary Bencher of the King’s Inns, Dublin and of the Inn of Court of Northern Ireland. Within the Inn he chaired the Education Committee, served as Director of Middle Temple Advocacy and was elected Treasurer for 2005. He retired from practice in 2010.
