Bio:

Michael Volpe was founder and General Director of Opera Holland Park, for 32 years. He then went on to create If Opera in Wiltshire and currently works for the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. He has written two acclaimed biographies, one about his life in an unusual school, Woolverstone Hall, and the other charting his Italian family history. He has two grown up children and one undergoing A Levels. Michael's interests encompass jazz music, theatre, sports, whiskey and travel to the Arctic.
