The latest library exhibition features books from the John Donne collection. John Donne (1572-1631) was a poet, preacher and Dean of St. Paul’s Cathedral. Middle Temple Library owns 84 books that once belonged to Donne, making it the largest holdings of his own personal library. The exhibition explores the links between Donne’s ownership and reading of the books, and the works he wrote himself. It was curated by Dr. Hugh Adlington, of the University of Birmingham. The exhibition will run from January until April 2018.
