Tickets go on sale for Middle Temple Annual Dinner

On Thursday 18 May 2017, the Hall Committee request the pleasure of your company at the Middle Temple Annual Dinner in Hall. The Annual Dinner provides the perfect opportunity for Members to invite guests and show off our glorious Hall in its best light.

This year's guest speaker is Alex Macqueen. Alex was in the National Youth Theatre in the 1990's while studying English at Durham University and International Relations at Pembroke College, Cambridge. He was called to the Bar by Middle Temple in 1999.

Alex is best known for his roles as Julius Nicholson in 'The Thick of It' and Neil's Dad in 'The Inbetweeners'. He has worked alongside various Directors including, Woody Allen, Kenneth Branagh, Bryan Singer, Armando Lannucci and Richard Curtis. In 2011 he was cast in 'This Is England 88', in 2012 took the lead in Sky Atlantic's 'Hunderby' and in 2013 was cast as the 'Master' in Dr Who. He starred in the film The Hide (2008), described by Film Four as 'a brilliantly balanced understated drama' and by The Times as giving 'Misery and Sleuth a ride for their money'. More recently he has starred in the BAFTA nominated 'Peaky Blinders' and on stage opposite Sir Michael Caine and Sir Kenneth Branagh.
