The decision has been made, with the authority of Master Treasurer and Parliament for the Inn to sell certain items from its silver collection. They have all been used for some purpose or another and as such are artefacts of the Inn’s rich history. They range from fine silver cutlery and Wedgewood crockery to kitchenware.
The funds raised by this sale will be put towards new silver display cabinets and a new commission to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first woman being admitted to Middle Temple and the 400th anniversary of a piece from the Northcliffe gift.
All lots will be available to view and inspect from 10:00 to 16:30 on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 January 2019 in the Queen’s Room.
All items are available to view via the Silver Sale Catalogue.
Anyone interested in bidding to purchase items should contact the membership department via firstname.lastname@example.org.
