The Middle Temple is working with Queen Mary Human Rights Collegium to offer a conference on social justice. The seminar, titled 'Justice for All. What Can Law and the Courts do in Hard Times?' is open to Judges and senior practitioners.
It will coincide with the review of the United Kingdom’s social justice commitments by the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The conference will address the challenges in a time of austerity of protecting social justice and socio-economic rights by courts in the United Kingdom and by European and United Nations bodies.
The event will take place in the Rutledge Suite, Ashley Building, Middle Temple on the afternoon of 16 October 2015 from 2 pm with a reception at 6.30 pm. There will be no charge, but to secure a place you will need to register with Nicole Lieberman (firstname.lastname@example.org).
