Middle Temple Library provides legal reference services to members of all four Inns of Court. This includes access to over 250,000 books, journals and law reports - all listed in the Library catalogue - a variety of online legal databases, and an enquiry service staffed by qualified legal librarians. We also provide a document delivery service which is available to all legal practitioners. Click on the Library link to the left for information on all of our services.


The Middle Temple Archive is responsible for the records and archives created by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple and its purpose is acquire, preserve and make available those records to the Inn, its members and staff. The collection, dating from 1501, primarily consists of the administrative, financial, membership and property records of the Inn, and further information about holdings can be found here. In order to assist members and external researchers, popular material for research such as the Admission registers and Minutes of Parliament have been made available online.
