Event Details: 

The weekend focuses on an intense programme of advocacy workshops with students working in groups of six, each taught by an experienced trainer.  There is also ample opportunity to meet practitioners and judges in a social environment.

The price includes the cost of the whole weekend (transport from London to Cumberland Lodge and back, accommodation and food).  Wine is provided with dinner and there is a cash bar.

Places on the advocacy weekends are limited and for this reason they are allocated by ballot, with priority given to current BPTC students.

Dress Code:

Smart casual for the majority of the weekend.

Lounge suits for dinner on Saturday evening.

Qualifying Session Details:

For Middle Temple students - this weekend counts as three Qualifying Sessions.  To be awarded the QS points you are required to arrive on time and attend all elements of the weekend (attendees will be emailed a full timetable).  

Dietary Requirements:

If you have any dietary requirements please ensure that you provide this information to the Inn in advance of the weekend so that Cumberland Lodge can be informed.

Please be aware that photography, audio and video recording may take place at our events. These may be used for promotional purposes by the Inn, including in printed publications, on our website, and on our social media accounts. If you do not wish to have your photograph taken or to have images of you used, please alert the Membership Team at the start of the event. Student Member





If you find that you are unable to attend, for any reason, you must inform the Inn as soon as possible.  To receive a full refund, cancellations must be made at least 5 clear working days before the event (i.e. the Thursday of the week before).  A refund may be made after this time, dependant on whether the place can be reallocated to someone else – the more notice given, the more likely this will be.
