How to Survive and Thrive in Uncertainty: Leveraging the Power of Doubt

This Survive & Thrive event is open to Middle Temple Members and their guests as well as members of other Inns of Court, though guests are restricted to members only. Attendance is free but booking is required.

Professor Michael Smets, moderated by Master Matthew Weait

Thursday 8 July 18:00 Online via Zoom

In today’s “VUCA” world, chasing certainty is futile no matter how much our brains crave it. We must find comfort in the discomfort of uncertainty to be impactful as leaders and advisors. Professor Smets will address this challenge by considering how to leverage the power of doubt as a catalyst for better decision-making, greater personal resilience and better client relationships. Professor Smets will use a framework developed from interviews with 150 corporate CEOs and workshops with hundreds of professionals to explore how we can use emotions as data and understand how others can support us – and we can support others – to remain adaptive and agile in moments of uncertainty.

The event is open to all and is free of charge.

Members of other Inns: please email members@middeltemple.org.uk
