This session will discuss how we communicate, what the components of communication are, the power of non-verbal communications and how our perception of the world, along with bias and prejudice, influence our interactions.

The session will consider blocks to communication and how the human stress response and our levels of awareness impact our communication. The challenges for vulnerable individuals in communicating effectively will be explored and the use of communication models, how and why they work.
