Master Geoffrey Ma will discuss the importance of the rule of law.

Priorities change at different stages of one's career at the Bar.  As students and pupils, the next step is to gain a foothold in the profession and propel one's practice.  After this has been achieved, what is the next development?  This talk centers on the need to return to those values that originally motivated many in the study of law, such as a deeper appreciation of what the rule of law truly means.  Coming at for many an advanced stage of their legal career with much experience behind them, this appreciation of fundamental values becomes essential to enable the Bar to remain vital in its role in society.

[Booking will open at 10:00 on Thursday 21 January]
