The Fire Courts 1666- Successfully Delivering Justice in a Time of Plague and Fire

Professor Jay Tidmarsh, Judge James J Clynes JR Professor of Law at Notre Dame Law School

Professor Tidmarsh will explore the social and economic impact of the Great Fire and explain how a novel Fire Court cut a path through the legal disputes that threatened the timely rebuilding of London

This is the first in a series of annual lectures sponsored by the Seldon Society and the Historical Societies of the four Inns. It is free and will be delivered using Zoom. Please book by Friday 16 October 2020 at innertemple.org.uk/firecourts or 020 7797 8250.
