This session will provide an introduction to the Inn; the student services available; some practical information on QS and Call; plus, a taste of the Inn's history. The session will begin with a welcome address from Master Treasurer, Sir Brian Leveson, and a Middle Temple history talk from Master John Mitchell. You will then hear from Guy Tinsley, a recent BTC student, about his experience of the Bar Course; the outgoing president of the Students’ Association, Camila Ferraro, and a Master of the Bench, Bernard Richmond QC.

Learning Outcomes:
- Understand they are now part of a professional community
- Understand the ethical implications of that
- Recognise the Inn as the professional home for all its members, regardless of background
- Identify salient ways to make the most of their time on the Bar Course.
- Describe the advice provided on how to prepare for a career at the Bar.

This session will not only introduce students to the life and history of the Inn, but it will also give practical advice on how to prepare for a career at the bar and the relationship of Middle Temple with its students and the wider legal community.
