Author’s reading with Sarah Langford

Join us for another from the series of popular author’s readings in the Middle Temple Library. This time we have the honour to host barrister and mother of two Sarah Langford. She will be reading from her new book In Your Defence: Stories of Life and Law which she wrote when on parental leave. The book features eleven real-life stories which Sarah encountered during her career as a criminal and family barrister.

Sarah Langford has a degree in English Literature, worked as a barmaid, legal secretary and note-taking clerk before completing a law conversion course followed by the Bar Vocational Course. She qualified as a barrister in 2005 and practiced in criminal and family law. 
 

This reading is free for all Inns of Court Members.  Places are limited and must be booked (see below for details).

Refreshments will be provided after the reading.

Guests:

This event is only open to Members of the four Inns of Court.  Guests are not permitted.

Qualifying Session Details:

For Middle Temple students and transferring lawyers - this event counts as one Qualifying Session.  To be awarded the QS for this event you are required to arrive on time and attend all elements of this event (please see timings at the top of this page).  You must hand your ticket to the Front of House staff on arrival.  Failure to do so will mean that the QS will not be awarded. Booking Tickets:

Members of the Inn can buy tickets online by clicking ‘Add to Cart’.  Please note that you must log in to book (if you have not yet created a log-in please register first). 

Members of other Inns can buy tickets from the Treasury Office in person or by telephoning 020 7427 4800.

Unless the event sells out earlier, booking will close at 12 noon two working days before the event.

Please note: You cannot book a ticket online for another member of the Inn if that member needs the Qualifying Session assigned to their record. They must log in and book their own ticket, or alternatively contact the Treasury Office.
