Author’s reading with William Clegg QC

A unique opportunity to hear the author reading from his new book Under the Wig. The book reveals the life of a top barrister who fought over 100 murder cases including high-profile criminal cases, such as the shooting of Jill Dando, the first prosecutions under the War Crimes Acts, and the Rebekah Brooks phone hacking trial. The book also discusses the eternal questions asked by barristers – how can you defend someone who you know is guilty? How do you chat to someone accused of a savage murder? Or how can you sway a jury?

William Clegg QC was born into a working class family in Southend (Essex) and is now head of Chambers at 2 Bedford Row and Treasurer of Gray’s Inn.

This reading is free for all Inns of Court Members.  Places are limited and must be booked (see below for details).

Refreshments will be provided after the reading.

This event is only open to Member of the four Inns of Court.  Guests are not permitted.
