T his session will explore court preparation in civi l and criminal cases.

The criminal asp ect of the training will be delivered by HHJ Enrig ht \;who has identified a number of recurrent problems faced by junior barristers relating to ha ndling of:

Jury bundles
Applications for Cloud Video Platform (CVP)

\n \n

The event will deal with pre paring jury bundles in jury trials\, giving exampl es and identifying common errors which impede the effective disposal of criminal cases. \;The ev ent will also deal with how to make proper CVP app lications in criminal cases. \; This session w ill identify the statute law\, guidance and provid e examples of common errors and best practice\, pr eparing attendees to make effective applications.& nbsp\;

The civil aspect of the trainin g will be delivered by Aislinn Kelly-Lyth\, a juni or barrister with a broad practice. It will cover:

Where to find practice direc tions and guides for different fora in civil litig ation\;
Other useful sources of proced ural knowledge
Best practices for putt ing together bundles.

The ses sion will be useful for those commencing practice in both the civil courts and the tribunals and nav igating the various procedural approaches.
